Getting Clear Through Journaling

It's that time of the year again for those of us that enjoy taking some time out to reflect on all that happened in and around us this year. If you're like me, near the end of each year, I look forward to releasing anything that just didn't work for me by writing it down. I also take this time to envision how I'd like to feel and how I'd like to enhance my lifestyle. Writing or typing your thoughts, visions, wishes helps to release them from your mind and onto something tangible like paper or your computer.


Make this time sacred and ritualistic. Pour your favorite warm drink. Find an area in your home with privacy and little noise. Light a candle to ignite the inspiration. Slowly close your eyes. Take some deep breaths to ground and feel lighter in your spirit. Get out your notebook or laptop and get into your own flow of journaling. Be gentle with yourself and don't judge. Just continue to flow.

I am [insert your name here].

I am now releasing [insert all that you'd like to release].

By releasing what no longer belongs in my life, I am now making space for [insert your visions, wishes, desires, etc.]

In my new year, I am feeling [insert how your envision yourself feeling].
