Happy Spring sweet dreamers! This time of year typically brings inspiration and a rejuvenating feeling of renewal. After a hiatus for a number of months, I’m inspired to report that your dream articles have made a comeback! During the hiatus over the last few months, my dreamtime also seemed to go on a hiatus. All that’s written here is based on and inspired by my own dreamtime. No dreamtime, no inspiration to write. I definitely remembered dreaming but for the life of me as soon as my eyes opened, just couldn’t remember what I dreamt. After making some changes to allow ease in my life, my dreamtime has resurfaced, and it feels amazing!
Many of us may have experienced our dreamtime taking a hiatus. Others may refer to this as a dream drought. If you enjoy dreaming and all of a sudden aren’t able to remember your dreams for a period of time, try not to become disappointed or discouraged. Instead, think about what’s currently going on in your life. What’s occupying your mind? Any big changes occurring for you? See how you can scale back and reduce any life or work stressors. Like myself, have you strayed from your bedtime routine or rituals? How can you implement that back into your life?
Another tip is to be still when you awake. Well, what does that mean? Upon waking up, don’t grab your phone or even engage in conversation. Just lay there, more helpful to keep your eyes closed for a couple of minutes, breathe normally and allow your dreams to resurface while your mind is still relaxed. If you’re able to, write your dreams down right away or even recite them out loud while you’re getting your dream journal. I’d love to hear if any of these tips have helped. Until next time…dream well.
