Did you know that you can create a ritual with your dream journal? You may wonder - why should I have a ritual with my dream journal? Ritualizing your time with your dream journal allows for a deeper connection between you and your dreamtime.
A ritual isn’t limited to casting spells or manifesting your heart’s desires, as many may think. In fact, a ritual can take many forms - lighting a candle for a daily intention, indulging in an early morning cup of coffee or tea, or even the daily act of brushing your teeth, are just some examples of a ritual.
When you decide that you’re ready to develop a deeper relationship with yourself and your dreamtime, you will notice that your dreamtime will become clearer and vivid, you’ll experience an easier time remembering your dreams (more dream experiences to share with your dream journal) and you’ll definitely look forward to your next dreamtime.
Here are some tips to help you set aside time and turn your dream journaling moments into a ritual:
Decide what time of day is best for journaling your dreamtime (shortly after waking up is typically the suggested time of day). This is your dedicated time with your dream journal and your higher self;
Have a favorite pen(s) or marker(s) handy, maybe in various colors to add some pizzazz to those pages;
Get creative and feel free to write your dream(s) out as if you’re telling a story to someone;
Add in drawings or symbols that relate to the dream you’re journaling about;
Write down questions i.e. what is the message from this dream? Or what part of the dream rings true for me? Don’t overthink the answer or worry that you don’t have the answer. Take some time to ponder it and come back to it later if you choose.
The consistency you put towards your dream journal will become the ritual, allowing for feelings of peace, groundedness and alignment with your higher self. Your dream journal ritual will help you to develop & enhance your very own dream guide.
Until next time…dream well.
